Commercial Drivers Licenses were created for operators of larger and more complex vehicles to assist them in learning how to operate these vehicles safely. In Tennessee, a CDL can include Class A, B, and C depending on what the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, Gross Combination Weight Rating, and what is being transported by the vehicle.
According to the Department of Safety and Homeland Security, the state law has defined a commercial motor vehicle as any automobile that weighs over 26,000 pounds. Furthermore, if hazardous materials are being transported, or if the vehicle is designed to transport over 15 passengers including the driver, a Commercial Drivers License is required.
If you or a loved one has become injured following a truck accident, our truck accident attorneys believe that it is the responsibility of these negligent injury causing individuals to pay for the injuries and damages they have caused. Our attorneys will seek the maximum compensation benefits for each individual case and work relentlessly to obtain justice in the court of law.
