Early Tuesday morning, a driver going the wrong-way caused a collision on Interstate 640.
A Knoxville news station reports that 22-year-old Lauren Steele was travelling the wrong-way on the highway when she struck a tractor-trailer near the Broadway exit. The accident occurred around 3:30 am in the westbound lanes of the highway. Luckily, no one was injured in the crash.
Police charged Steele with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, one way road violation, and violating the implied consent law.
