More Red-Light Cameras Are Going Up in Knoxville

According to the Knoxville Sentinel, red-light cameras are being installed at three more intersections. Cameras will be going up at the following intersections:

  • Kingston Pike and Montvue Road
  • Parkside Drive and Lovell Road
  • Western Avenue and Ed Shouse Drive.

Motorists caught by the new cameras will be given a 30-day warning period. The 30-day warning period will begin today for the camera at Kingston Pike and Montvue Road, while the warning period for the other two intersections will begin on March 31.

Many cities have installed to red-light cameras to deter drivers from running the light. Every year, thousands of people are injured at intersection collisions.
