On Wednesday morning, a Kentucky man was killed while working in the Kopper Glo mine in Clairfield, TN. According to the Knoxville Sentinel, Jeremy Perkins was digging inside of the mine when the roof collapsed on him. Several co-workers were with him when the incident occurred and were able to pull him out.
Perkins was taken to Claiborne County Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The miners body was taken to Regional Forensic Center in Knoxville where an autopsy will be performed.
