Coleman a “legal lion” in connection with the firm’s recent ruling with respect to misclassification of independent contractors and agents of American Family, Inc.: “Attorneys for a class of insurance agents secured the favor of an Ohio federal judge on Tuesday. The judge found that the certified class of nearly 7,000 insurance agents claiming they were misclassified as independent contractors by American Family Insurance Co. are in fact employees under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, saying the company exerted a level of control over their work that is commensurate with typical employees.
