Tennessee Highway Patrol were first on the scene at a deadly car crash in Sevier County Tennessee. Law enforcement officials state that the car accident happened when the speeding Honda Civic struck a tree.

Three of the victims of the accident were killed. One of the passenger in the vehicle, was thrown clear of the car and survived. He climbed out of an embankment in an attempt to get help for his friends by crawling to the roadways and was later taken to the hospital at UT Medical Center by a Lifestar Helicopter.

Officials say the car was traveling very fast and that the driver may have lost control of the vehicle. The car crossed the center line, hit an embankment that sent the car airborne and into a tree. The car flipped when it became airborne and struck the tree roof-first.

Serious and fatal car accident injuries are devastating.
