Knoxville Police Make DUI Arrests During Holiday| Knoxville, TN

Knoxville police officers made 3 DUI arrests during their July 4th traffic enforcement campaign. The campaign started at 4pm on July 3rd and lasted until midnight on July 4th. The Knoxville Police Department investigated 11 vehicle crashes, including 4 that resulted in injuries. According to the Knoxville New Sentinel, there were no traffic fatalities during this time period.
Law enforcement issued over a 1,000 traffic citations during the campaign, 94 citations were given to drivers for not wearing a seat belt or violation of the child restraint law.
