Connecticut police were involved in a high-speed a car chase with a BMW X5 Tuesday morning, when the SUV suddenly crashed into a home. The SUV crashed into the bedroom of 34-year old Michael Sweat and landed on top of him while he was in bed.
According to the New Haven Register, it took dozens of firefighters over 90 minutes to free Sweat from the two-ton SUV. Despite second-degree and third-degree burns on his buttocks, Sweat was in good spirits as he was rolled away on a gurney.
The car chase started off in Hamden, CT before ending up New Haven, CT. After the car crash, the motorist fled by foot and still has not been captured.
